Most of the facilities I worked in did not award commendations. However, PPG's Glass Division did and here are a few of them.
June 21, 2001 ~ Recognition Appreciation Award for reduction in ceramic defects on Line #1 Silkscreen Department.
September 9, 2002 ~ Glass Engineering Quality Recognition Level II Award for product/process improvement in the successful installation, start up, and initial production of SunClean glass.
August 11, 2003 ~ Quality Recognition Level II Award for extensive field support provided Mt. Zion during their DCS upgrade. I worked numerous weekends, holidays, and daily overtime to keep this project on schedule.
August 2, 2004 ~ Quality Recognition Level II Award for rewriting the Carrier Air Temperature Control for Mt. Zion, Line 1 CVD Coater. This control strategy significantly reduced the ramp up time to steady state.
