Personality profiles are useful tools to understand how to interact with others.

At one time, PPG Industries tested all new hires for personality traits.  When I was new with the company, the test was a four quadrant categorization of analytical, driver, expressive, and amiable.  I was analytical with amiable tendencies.

Truncated Myers-Briggs tests have assessed me as ENTJ.

For those into Marcus Buckingham's and Donald O. Clifton's strength discovery tests, my dominant strengths are strategic, maximizer, responsibility, activator, and command.
  • Strategic - the ability to sort through the clutter and find the best route.
  • Maximizer - excellence, not average, is your measure.
  • Responsibility - take ownership for anything committed to and follow it through to the end.
  • Activator - make a decision, take action, review the result, and learn.
  • Command - take charge.
